What happens to my grass clippings?

Based on your preference, we either mulch the clippings as natural fertilizer for your lawn, or we bag them up and haul them away. If we haul away your clippings, you can rest easy knowing that they are being recycled at a local, earth-friendly facility.

I don't want my landscaping done on the weekends. Can you accommodate me?

How much water does my lawn need in the summer?

Here in Northern Colorado, summer precipitation can be unpredictable. How much you water highly depends on the type of turf you have, whether or not it was recently installed or planted, the weather that week, and even the location of your grass on your property. We can offer suggestions for your specific property throughout the summer if you sign up for weekly maintenance or one of our custom monthly service plans.

What size mowers do you use?

We use a variety of mowers, and we pick the best ones to use for your property each time.

At what height do you cut the lawn?

As a rule of thumb, we cut your grass to a height of 2.5." However, the height each lawn requires is different and may change throughout the course of the growing season. When you hire us for summer maintenance, we carefully monitor your property and tailor the height of our blades to the job at hand. We are always happy to raise the height of our blades at your request, and we NEVER cut your grass in a way that will jeopardize the health of your lawn.

Why is mowing at the right height so important?

Mowing at the appropriate height is crucial for a lawn's health and resilience, especially in regions with sandy soil like ours. Maintaining the correct grass height helps to shade the soil, reducing moisture evaporation and minimizing weed growth. It also encourages deeper root development, enhancing the grass's ability to withstand the challenges of sandy soil, such as rapid drainage and nutrient leaching.

How often do you sharpen your mower blades?

We sharpen our blades every day, no exceptions. But rest assured, if a blade becomes dull before the day is over, we resharpen it before continuing.

Do you provide shrub pruning?

Yes, we offer comprehensive shrub pruning services to maintain the health and appearance of your landscape. Our skilled team will carefully trim and shape your shrubs, promoting optimal growth, enhancing aesthetics, and ensuring your plants thrive throughout the year. How can a well-manicured property help to sell my home?

A well-manicured property significantly enhances curb appeal, making a positive first impression on potential buyers. A neatly maintained lawn and garden convey a sense of care and attention to detail, potentially increasing the perceived value of your home. Additionally, a visually appealing exterior can attract more prospective buyers and contribute to a faster and more successful sale of your property.

When and how should my shrubs be pruned?

Shrubs should be pruned based on their specific species and growth patterns, but a general guideline is to prune in late winter or early spring before the growing season. Regular, strategic pruning not only enhances the aesthetics of your landscape but also promotes the overall health and vitality of your shrubs.

Mulch is a vital component for maintaining a healthy and vibrant landscape. It acts as a natural insulator, regulating soil temperature, retaining moisture, and preventing weed growth. Additionally, mulch enriches the soil as it decomposes, promoting optimal plant growth and providing an aesthetically pleasing finish to your outdoor spaces.
